Built on fire-service experience since 1969
Delta Fire & Safety was born on the Texas Gulf Coast, where refineries, chemical plants, industrial brigades, and municipal fire departments created one of the most demanding firefighting environments in the country.
That environment shaped how we work: know the equipment, understand the job, and support the people who depend on it. Today, that same practical approach connects everything Delta supplies and services.

Generations of family leadership
In 1984, John Currie acquired Delta Fire & Safety, beginning the Currie family’s stewardship of the company.
In the early 2000s, Eric Currie took over the business, carrying Delta into its next generation and continuing its transformation into the full-service fire-equipment and PPE organization it is today.
Over the following decades, Delta evolved beyond equipment distribution. The business developed deeper capabilities in PPE service, cleaning, inspection, repair, and the support required to keep firefighters and departments operational.
Delta today
From the first set of turnout gear to the care it needs in service, Delta brings equipment supply and PPE support together under four core capabilities.
Sized firefighter PPE rental for departments, academies, and training.
Firefighter PPE, tools, hose, nozzles, and equipment for your department.
Advanced turnout gear cleaning and inspection by our verified ISP.
Turnout gear repairs, alterations, and service support for your PPE program.
Home of Free Loaner Gear
Our Free Loaner Gear program helps departments maintain PPE coverage while their gear is being cleaned, inspected, or repaired. Talk with your Delta representative to coordinate sizes, availability, and service needs.
The equipment has changed.
The standards have changed.
The fire service has changed.
Delta has changed with it.
But one principle has remained constant:
The chapters behind the company
Explore the people, turning points, and industrial roots behind Delta — then look closer at the photographs and marks that tell the story.
Delta Fire & Safety was born on the Texas Gulf Coast, where refineries, chemical plants, industrial brigades, and municipal fire departments created one of the most demanding firefighting environments in the country.
From its earliest years, Delta operated at the intersection of firefighting equipment, industrial safety, and the people doing the job.
Its history connects to figures who would later help shape modern industrial firefighting, including Les and Dwight Williams, whose careers ultimately led to the formation of Boots & Coots Fire & Protective Equipment and later Williams Fire & Hazard Control.
But Delta’s own story continued.
In 1984, John Currie acquired Delta Fire & Safety, beginning the Currie family’s stewardship of the company.
Over the following decades, Delta evolved beyond equipment distribution. The business developed deeper capabilities in PPE service, cleaning, inspection, repair, and the support required to keep firefighters and departments operational.

We supply firefighter PPE, tools, hose, nozzles, equipment, and specialized solutions. We provide firefighter PPE rental programs. We inspect, clean, and repair turnout gear through our verified ISP operation. And through programs such as Free Loaner Gear, we help departments stay operational while their PPE is being serviced.
