Morning Pride Ben 3 Low Rider PLUS Traditional Fire Helmet
The Ben 3 Low Rider PLUS is Morning Pride's traditional-profile structural fire helmet, built on Honeywell's FYR-Glass shell. The Low Rider designation refers to the lowered center of gravity - the mass sits closer to the head, which is what the manufacturer credits for the balance and neck-fatigue difference against a standard traditional shell. Departments spec it when they want a traditional helmet without giving up modern suspension and eye protection options.
Features
- Honeywell FYR-Glass shell in a traditional profile
- Lowered center of gravity - Honeywell describes this as improving balance and reducing neck fatigue
- High-density impact liner
- Adjustable suspension
- Removable components for cleaning and maintenance
Configuration
The record carries ten configurations - five shell colors, each offered with a choice of two eye-protection options:
- Shell colors: black, red, white, yellow, orange
- Eye protection: EZ Flip, or 4 in. face shield
Order is by color and eye protection together - for example black with EZ Flip, or yellow with the 4 in. face shield.
Before you spec it
The listing describes the helmet as NFPA-certified but names no standard number and no edition, and states no shell weight, size range or suspension adjustment range. Delta will pull the current certification documentation and the full spec sheet before you write this helmet into a department specification or a grant application.
