Safety Suds Bunker Gear Detergent, 5 Gallon Pail
A gear-cleaning program is only as good as what goes in the drum. Safety Suds was originally formulated in 1969 by the first bunker gear cleaning facility in Texas and has been used on turnout gear for over fifty years. The 5-gallon pail is the volume for a department running its own extractor on a regular cycle rather than buying jugs a few at a time.
Features
- Formulated to remove hydrocarbons, toxins and soils from firefighting gear
- Manufacturer states it meets NFPA 1850 requirements for advanced cleaning
- Safe on outer shells, thermal liners, moisture barriers, reflective trim, Arashield, suede, leather, hardware and knee pads without degrading materials or corroding metal components
- Gentle enough for station wear, with no residual odors
- 5-gallon pail, part number TS-SS-5
Standards: The NFPA 1850 reference above is the manufacturer's, not a Delta assessment. No edition year is given, and Delta has not confirmed which NFPA 1850 edition applies - confirm it before citing this in a specification or a grant application.
Also available: Safety Suds in 4 x 1 gallon jugs (TS-SS-1-4) for smaller volumes or hand dosing. Contact Delta Fire & Safety for dilution guidance and a quote.
